  • What should I expect in class?
We typically create an appetizer and start components of the main meal during the first hour of class when you will take a break to eat your first course. We then return to the kitchen to finish out the main course and set up a buffet for you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You will be standing for roughly 2 hours during the course of the class and will working in groups to create the food you will eat. Some recipes will be created with the entire class and some will be at work stations with your group. You will be lead through the steps of each recipe by your chef during class to create the recipes that you will receive via e-mail after class. Our amazing volunteers will be assisting the chef instructor and will complete cleanup. All groups create the same dishes, so you get to see how everything is made. Some members of each group may take turns at the stove/fryer, etc. Come hungry as there is lots of food to be consumed in class and may not be brought home as we are classified as an educational space and are not for food sales. We appreciate your understanding this rule!

There will be up to 16 people in hands-on classes, and up to 20 in demonstration-style classes. Students will be broken up into groups at the discretion of the instructor. We encourage people to sign up with friends/family with whom they feel comfortable cooking.
  • Do I get to take my recipes home?
You will receive an electronic copy of the recipes in your e-mail after class.
  • What if I didn't receive a recipe packet after class?
We typically e-mail the recipe packet to you either the night of the class or the next day. If you still have not received the recipe packet within 2-3 days, please email us at thefoodieschool@gmail.com as we may have an incorrect e-mail or the e-mail may have gone to your spam folder.
